Hi,

I'm pleased to announce that we launched a novel URL shortening
service utilizing CoralCDN. http://rcdn.info

We developed this service to share critical information about the
GIANT EARTHQUAKE in Japan, March 2011. Many small Web sites
couldn't be accessed due to flash crowd, even though they have
important contents. The flash crowd is maily caused by spreading
Twitter messages that include shortened URLs.

Our basic idea is that URL shortening services can obviate the
flash crowd by dispatching requests to content delivery networks of
great capacity. Our service consists of URL shortening server and
CoralCDN; the server rewrites URLs to those of CoralCDN before
shortening, which rediredts flash crowd to CoralCDN.

Our service accelerates content delivery as well as shortens long
URLs. These short URLs redirect clients to CoralCDN. Even if URLs
are shared among many Twitter users, their requests can be
distributed among the network.

Thank you for providing the great CDN.
