Hi,

It appears that the .nyud.net DNS record exceeds 512-byte UDP limit.
Low-cost routers such as the one I use at home cannot cope with such DNS records (cannot fall back to TCP or EDNS0).

Similar troubles arose back in 2012 when people tried to upgrade to iOS 5.1:

The above link suggests a solution using Google DNS or OpenDNS, and it works for the case of .nyud.net, but permanently changing your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 might cause another concern (is Google _the_ Internet?).

Is it possible to limit the .nyud.net DNS record to 512 bytes?
